We know they won’t discuss reasons people get excommunicated. But he hasn’t been to church in 8 years! He’s obviously not getting kicked out solely for posting a picture of a man with his shirt off…
For those who haven’t been there, BYU is not like most schools with an honor code–the honor code is BYU; you can’t just go there without being 100% committed to the church without violating your own integrity. There’s no way he didn’t spend 8 years writing papers expressing support for religious topics. There’s obviously some crazy deep stuff going on here, and any attempts to pretend he got kicked out for a series of PG-rated photos is just sensationalism.
